چکیده
Abstract Submucosal deep invasion of gastric cancer (T1b2; depth submucosal ? 500 ?m) is a risk factor for lymph node metastasis and, thus, one the criteria curative treatment. Our aim was to evaluate specific influence endoscopic dissection (ESD) on prognosis patients with T1b2 cancer. This retrospective analysis 248 consecutive patients, 252 pT1b2 lesions, who underwent ESD prior additional surgery (Group A, n = 101) or only B, 147). After propensity score-matching (for sex, age, tumor diameter and gross type), we compared pathological characteristics between 2 groups over follow-up period 60 months. Compared Group in A were older, higher proportion men. The depressed undifferentiated type tumors greater B than larger size as well. There no incidence local recurrence, but distant identified 5% cases 3% B. score-matching, there difference 5-year overall survival rate (87.5% vs. 91.2%, respectively), nor disease-specific (96.3% 96.4%, respectively). did not adversely affect clinical outcomes after surgery.

Clinical Outcomes of Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection for Undifferentiated or Submucosal Invasive Early Gastric Cancer
BACKGROUND/AIMS Early gastric cancer (EGC) that is undifferentiated or shows submucosal invasion has not been generally accepted as an indication for endoscopic treatment. But recently, experiences with endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for undifferentiated EGC or submucosal invasive (SM) EGC have increased. The aim of this study was to evaluate clinical outcomes of ESD for EGC with undiff...
متن کاملClinical Impact of Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection for Early Gastric Cancer
Aim: The aim of this study was to examine the safety and efficacy of endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for early gastric cancer based on approximately 10 years’ experience. Methods: Endoscopic submucosal dissection was performed in 1272 patients with early gastric cancer (1657 lesions). We examined en bloc resection rate, curative resection rate, local recurrence rate, procedure time, and ...
متن کاملEndoscopic Submucosal Dissection for Early Gastric Cancer
The field of endoscopy has progressed markedly and become widespread in recent years, and the role of minimally invasive endoscopic treatment has become increasingly more important with the increase in the number of patients in whom gastric cancer is detected at an early stage. In addition, the characteristics of early gastric cancer, which can be curably treated by mucosal resection alone just...
متن کامل[Endoscopic submucosal dissection for early gastric cancer].
Endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) has been accepted as a treatment of early gastric cancer (EGC). The number of EMR procedures for EGC has been increasing because a patient's quality of life after EMR is superior to that after surgical gastrectomy. In Japan, most EMR have been performed using the strip biopsy method; however, in some cases we experienced local recurrences when multiple fragmen...
متن کاملEndoscopic Submucosal Dissection of Early Gastric Cancer
The purpose of this review was to examine a remarkable technical advance regarding the indications for and the technique of endoscopic resection of early gastric cancer. Endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) of early gastric cancer with no risk of lymph node metastasis has been a standard technique in Japan, probably owing to the high incidence of gastric cancer in Japan and the fact that more tha...
